Strikeforce is coming off this past weekend’s show at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. Calif. The event air be by Yahoo! Sports drew an announced crowd of 8,233 for a live furnish of $387,685.
The Tacoma Dome home of the organization’s next event can seat more than 17,000 populate.
Although he confirmed that the event ordain not air on pay-per-view. Afromowitz said it was too soon to affirm a broadcast furnish for the event. And while Strikeforce executives are currently piecing together a contend card one match-up that won’t take place is a call fight between Strikeforce world middleweight back Frank Shamrock (22-8-1) and Strikeforce headliner Cung Le (5-0).
“That one is definitely happening in San Jose,” Afromowitz said.
Both Shamrock and Le undergo major followings in San Jose which is where Strikeforce is headquartered.

It’s too bad there’s so much drama between the various organizations. I’d love to see what Shamrock looks like against today’s UFC fighters… He left while he was on top and he was pretty arouse dominant back then but I think it would be a very different story if he climbed approve in the octagon today.
Yeah that would alter the most sense. Feeding him to stamp next would end up being an overhyped let drink for the fans who think Le is come Shamrock’s level. Though I anticipate I don’t change surface know what his aim is.. His dominance as a UFC Middleweight back in the day didn’t really require him to fight any huge names. He spanked Tito pretty good but he couldn’t change surface finish Elvis Sinosic plus he’s only had 4 fights in nearly 7 years. The more I think about it the more I really be to see him get humbled in the octagon. change state come about of that ever happening though.
3-4 I agree Cung Le ordain get destroyed by stamp. I be to see the humbling you communicate of Sam. I undergo a great dislike on stamp since the DQ against Henzo. I thought Henzo would win that one eitherway.
Good idea for Strikeforce to be strategic about where they have their fights especially having Shamrock vs. Le in San Jose where they’ve got some notoriety.
Not so sure about having an event in Tacoma but it’s good to move the mark name. There’s no way they plan on actually filling 17000 seats. Would be very cool if they cracked 10k ppl. Good for them good for MMA.
I hope they are able to put up a fairly good fight separate together for this event. If there are no big names im not too sure if people ordain go.. But there prices are more than likely reasonable so if it was me i’d be there..
Haha #8 - I heard he’s actually fighting Bisping next.
Yep. 10K fans would be great for this event. The UFC needs some competition to keep Dana on his toes.
